Several people are asking “So what software do I need to keep my computer safe?” The first thing is we need to have multiple layers of protection; Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Firewall and Backup. I have always been a supporter of F- Secure Client Security, Norton Internet Security, Web Root Spy Sweeper, and Kasperky products. All of these products cost money all around $50.00 per year.

Products that are free have advantaged and disadvantages. Free AVG is a product that I install on a regular basis; of the automatic daily scanning is a bit processor intensive, but its free. Another product is Spybot S&D truly a great product for protecting your computer from malware.
